You are always welcomed and encouraged to come to any Parent Council meeting!

Council meetings are scheduled for the first Monday of each month, excluding January.  Please check the Calendar for the meeting dates and times.
Free babysitting is provided - please call Crystal Corkey to arrange.

The following elected positions are available for a 2 year term effective School Year 2014-2015:
1. Chairperson or 2 co-chairs or Chairperson and ViceChair
Responsible for:
  • Scheduling and preparing the adendas for at least 4 School Council meetings per year, in consultation with the Principal.
  • Chairing the meetings and ensuring minutes are recorded.  
  • Participating in information and training sessions.
  • Communicating regularly with the Principal and Council and committe chairpersons. Maintaining a flow of information with Council members, parents, the community and other School Councils and organizations within the School Board.  
  • N.B. Must be the parent or guardian of a student in the school.
2. Treasurer
Responsible for:
  • Keeping up to date records of all accounts (receipt and disbursement).
  • Preparing financial reports and making records available for audit as required.
  • Chairing the Finance Committee.
3. Secretary
Responsible for:
  • Suitably recording, seeking review and publishing written minutes of all School Council meetings.
  • Preserving all written records.
