Perth Road Kudos!
A special Thank You to Courtney John who coached
the boys volleyball team this school year. We appreciate your
efforts and your dedication to athletics at Perth Road Public
School.
Congratulations to Kate Gibson whose artwork was selected for
the Hotel Dieu art gallery.
After the earthquake happened inu Haiti, the students in our
newly formed grade 7/8 class decided that they wanted to do something
to help with the rescue and reconstruction efforts there. Together,
we decided to hold a bake sale to raise money in support. Many
students and teachers were busy baking for the sale on Friday,
January 22, and we are pleased to report that we raised $153.50
selling our delicious treats! All of the proceeds went to CARE,
a non-profit organization. Thank you to everyone who baked for
our sale and bought our treats!

Perth Road Panthers!
On December 9th, the Perth Road Boys Volleyball team played in
the tournament held at LCVI. In an amazing 5 set match
against a strong team from Lancaster, the boys took gold!
We lost the first set, won the second, lost the third, won the
fourth and hung on to win the 5th set. I could not be more proud
of a group of boys who not only played their very best, but represented
Perth Road with exempary sportsmanship. Well done!!

PRPS "Down & Dirty" Garden
Club
Our school is lucky to have a group of students and parents who
help make the school grounds so beautiful!
The PRPS Garden Club meets once a week to learn
about gardening and much more. We study soil, grow plants from
seeds, and experiment with factors that affect plant growth. And
of course, weed!
