Our New 2026-2027 School Council Team
We had our first School Council meeting on Monday night and had a great turnout but there is still room for YOU! The more hands the better! Join us at our next meeting on October 20th.

Volunteering at Perth Road Public School
We love volunteers! If you intend to volunteer at our school this year, please ensure that your Vulnerable Sector Check was completed within 6 months of the date you start volunteering.
A new process in place in Limestone District School Board. South Frontenac Police checks are done online, but you will need the new LDSB school letter to attach to your application when you apply. Once you have your police record check back, you must submit it to Police Record Check Portal. Once it is submitted you will be able to volunteer all year.
We apologize and know it is time consuming but safety is our first priority. We hope to see you on school trips and in the building soon!
We said "Farewell" to Ms. Linda Hahn. Linda has been an EA at Perth Road for several years and will be missed!
Cross Country Running
Cross country running is up and running! All practices take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays at second break. Looking forward to another fabulous season of running! Mrs. Aylesworth and Mrs. Shire (your coaches)

How Families Can Help:

Terry Fox Run
The 2026 Terry Fox School Run is just around the corner, and we are very excited to be part of this incredible event. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the fight against cancer while empowering our students to become compassionate changemakers in our community.
Our Terry Fox School Run will take place on: Monday September 28th 2pm-3pm
Our school’s fundraising goal is: $2800. So far we have raised $75.

Every dollar raised supports vital cancer research, bringing us closer to a world without cancer.
Here’s how to help your child make their impact:
1. Donate online:
- Click the link above to donate or go to “Find a School” at terryfoxschoolrun.org
- You can make a general donation to the school or donate to a student or classroom page under the school link.
- Receipts are emailed immediately to online donors from the Terry Fox Foundation.
- Double Your Donation! Many Canadian employers match employee donations. During the online donation process, there is an option to enter your employer’s name to see if they participate. If eligible, your employer will be notified and invited to match your donation. Please note: employer matching donations will not appear on your school’s online fundraising page as matching funds are processed and transferred to the Terry Fox Foundation separately. These funds are however added to your school’s overall fundraising total once they are received later.
2. Fundraise:
- Create a student fundraising page under your school's fundraising page.
- Click "Set Up a Classroom or Student Page" and follow the prompts to get started.
- Personalize the page by adding photos, videos, or a fun message to share.
- All student pages, login credentials, and links are private and not searchable.
- Student pages can only be accessed through the direct link shared by you or your child.
- Share your child's page with family, friends and colleagues to help them reach their goal.
We encourage every family to get involved by fundraising, donating and cheering on our students. Every donation, big or small, helps fund life-saving cancer research and carries forward Terry’s dream of a world without cancer. Together we can make a difference and Finish It!
