What's Happening at Perth Road Public School
Welcome Back New and Returning Students and Families
As the new school year begins, we are thrilled to welcome both new and returning members of our school community. Whether you're stepping into our halls for the first time or returning after a well-deserved summer break, we’re so glad you’re here.
This year promises to be full of learning, growth, and connection. Our dedicated staff have been working hard to prepare engaging lessons, exciting activities, and a supportive environment where every student can thrive.
We encourage families to stay connected through our newsletters, school events, and classroom updates. Your involvement makes a world of difference, and we’re grateful for your partnership.
Here’s to a fantastic year ahead—let’s make it one to remember!
Students' Classroom Placements
As in past year's, students' classroom placements are not be shared prior to the first day of school. Classroom teachers will be outside at the front of the school when the bell rings at 9:05AM. Teachers will be holding signs indicating the grade that they teach. Students will disembark one bus at a time starting with our Kindergarten students, and will be supported as they make their way to the grade appropriate teacher. Teachers will be able to direct students from there.
This year, all Junior Kindergarten student will start on the first day of school. Kindergarten families have been informed of their child's classroom placement. We will have lots of staff on hand to support our youngest learners make their way to their classrooms.
As many of our families have experienced in the past, the school organization remains tentative and classes may shift or change during the first few weeks of school. This complicated annual process is often needed as we accommodate new registrations and movement in and out of our area.
School Parking Lot & Bus Loading Zone
We continue to need your help. Since the safety of our students is a priority for all of us, parents are requested to use the Student Drop off & Pick up parking (to the right at the entrance) when driving children to and from school.
The school driveways, the bus loading zone and the accessible parking spaces in front of the school need to remain clear of traffic and parked cars.
Finally, if you are parking along Walsh Road, please be mindful when parking that the buses need room to navigate the narrow roadway. We would hate to see anyone’s vehicle get damaged by accident. Thanks again for your attention to this matter.

2025-2026 School Council~ AGM & Elections
School Councils are important partners in education. School Councils provide a forum through which parents and other members of school communities can contribute to improving student achievement and well-being and enhance the accountability of the education system. The school values the role and contribution of our School Council members and their commitment to help boost parent involvement and serve as an ongoing mechanism for effective two-way communication and consultation between the school and the school community.
Perth Road Public School Parent Council would like to invite you to our Annual General meeting (AGM) September 15th, 2025. The meeting will be held at Perth Road Public School in the library at 6:30 pm.
