This year, we are proud to once again offer Brave Education workshops, which align with our school’s strategic plan, as well as the Ministry of Education’s Policy/Program Memorandum 169 and PPM 144. These workshops will help our students develop essential social-emotional skills, promoting healthier relationships and fostering positive interactions throughout our school community.
Workshops
Bullying, Conflict, and Relationships: Grades 4-5
Building Emotional Regulation: Grades 1-3 and 6-8
Please see the PDF for detailed information about what students will be learning. For at-home resources, please visit Brave’s resource page.
Cross Country
Congratulations to our cross country team who represented us at the Northern Area cross country meet held on Oct. 1 at The Point in Sydenham. It was a tough race, but our runners persevered and should be very proud of their efforts in our first race. Next, we will be heading to the regional meet at Fort Henry on Oct.14 where we will be competing for a spot at the District meet on the 21st.
Sr Soccer
Congratulations to the senior boys and girls soccer teams, who represented Perth Road with excellence last week at the LESSA tournaments at John Machin fields in Kingston. The girls' team took home gold in impressive fashion after winning all four of their games without conceding a goal. Meanwhile, the boys one two of their three games, losing in the semi-finals in a tough game against Wellborne. Both teams are to be commended for their commitment, effort, teamwork, and sportsmanship. They showed the best of Perth Road Athletics. Well done, Panthers!
Sr Girls Volleyball
Students in grades 6, 7 & 8 are invited to come try out for our Sr girls volleyball team. Tryouts will begin this week, students are reminded to come with indoor shoes. Days and times will be announced during the morning announcements.
