Terry Fox Run

brothers

Our Terry Fox Run was a great success! We raised over $1700 for cancer research. We pray for a cure and send love to everyone who has fought cancer or is fighting cancer today. If you would like to donate our school’s online fundraising page is still open https://schools.terryfox.ca/131841.

Cookie Making in 5/6

On Tuesday our class made cookies in our classrom for all the kids who celebrated their birthdays in September. It was really fun making cookies. I hope we do it again really soon. Written by Madeleine

In grade 5/6 we made cookies for peoples birthdays. We did all of the baking in our classroom to celebrate. Our school gave us this great idea and we were so lucky to make cookies. I can't wait till we make them again! Written by Mila

Yesterday, Ms. Aylesworth and her 5/6 class baked sugar cookies in their classroom so all of the September birthdays and everyone in our class could have sugar cookies. It was a good learning opportunity for us! Written by Emmett

Volunteering at Perth Road Public School

We love volunteers! If you intend to volunteer at our school this year, please ensure that your Vulnerable Sector Check was completed within 6 months of the date you start volunteering.

A new process in place in Limestone District School Board. South Frontenac Police checks are done online, but you will need the new LDSB school letter to attach to your application when you apply. Once you have your police record check back, you must submit it to Police Record Check Portal. Once it is submitted you will be able to volunteer all year.

We apologize and know it is time consuming but safety is our first priority. We hope to see you on school trips and in the building soon!

e scooter

E-scooters are easy to find, but they aren't toys and aren't designed for kids. In Ontario, you must be at least 16 years old to ride wherever e-scooters are permitted.

In Kingston, e-scooters are not currently permitted. The City is developing a Micromobility Regulations Strategy — with updated rules around e-scooters, e-bikes and other lightweight, rideable transportation — to support safe, accessible and sustainable travel around Kingston. The strategy, which considers public engagement feedback and research into best practices, will be presented to Council for consideration later this year.

Find out more at Micromobility Regulations | Get Involved Kingston by Communications & Public Engagement.
